If you are somehow reading this and have absolutely NO idea who I am….scroll below.

If you’ve been considering consultation with me—whether for EMDR support, case conceptualization, business guidance, or just a grounded space to think out loud—this is an intentional moment to step in. Check out the offers below.

No pressure. No flashy countdown. Just transparency.

This expansion means more clinicians, more access, and more sustainability for a practice that believes mental health care should not be a luxury. If working together in this season feels aligned, I’d love to welcome you.

Thank you for being part of my ecosystem—whether that’s as a colleague, a supporter, or someone who’s been quietly rooting from afar. None of this happens alone.

And if this isn't the time for you to invest financially - please share this email with your networks and/or engage with us on instagram! @wholementality

With immense gratitude,
Erica

An Invitation to help us grow

I wanted to share something honestly and a little more vulnerably than my usual.

Whole Mentality is expanding.

This is something we’ve been working toward for a long time, but the opportunity came about a year sooner than we expected. It’s exciting—and also the kind of growth that requires real resources, real planning, and real support.

As a small, local, Black woman–owned practice, our commitment has always been to care that’s affirming, accessible, and grounded in community. That includes accepting insurance and Medicaid, even when the systems that support that work move slowly and demand a lot behind the scenes. The kind of care that also expands to our employees through equitable pay, health insurance benefits, and supporting real (& paid) time off.

So here’s where I’m inviting you in.

For the month of January, I’m offering a major sale on EMDR consultation and professional consultation. Not because the work is worth less—but because this is one tangible way I can raise funds to support the expansion of a practice that exists for the community.

For those of you who wound up here without knowing me directly - I’m Erica. I am group practice owner, dog mom, clinical social worker, Spoonie, EMDR Approved Consultant, clinical supervisor, and a highly caffeinated individual who hates cheese. I’ve been providing EMDR consultation for 6 years and clinical supervision for 7 years. I’ve owned a private practice since 2020, and expanded to a group in 2023.

Through navigating life with chronic illness over the last 22+ years, and 30+ years as a black woman, I originally normalized practices and made adjustments prior to realizing that - maybe this isn’t normal for all people. I’ve learned how to avoid stairs or prepare for them (thank you Google), I learned how to schedule my days and what to avoid. I learned how to minimize microaggressions before learning to confront them. I learned how to advocate for herself before adjusting the systems I was a part of to be more inclusive of all kinds of people. It’s through this knowledge, training as a social worker/therapist and somatic abolitionist, and lived experience that I continue to serve others so that others can create spaces that serve all - and all includes ourselves too.

A great deal of my clinical & professional focus is on supporting people to create wellness for themselves - while addressing the systems & institutions that continue to impact our wellness. We focus on prioritizing rest & joy while also addressing the politics of mental health and access to a whole life. Of course, this is all easier said than done - and I’m often in my own struggle of how to do this well, if at all. Yet, everyday we learn and grow, but most importantly we continue to put one foot in front of the other (even if it’s just by a toe).

Thanks for being here,

Erica
